Maybe it's because I have bind-chroot installed?

The script calls:

/usr/sbin/bind-chroot-admin --enable > /dev/null 2>&1;

as part of postinstall, and /usr/sbin/bind-chroot-admin
contains a lot of chown/chmod stuff.
