oops.  Yes /var/log

Again too many systems running on too many sides of the project.

I see...

Well, rpm is on the system.  /etc/cron.daily/rpm exists but no 
/var/log/rpmpkgs

Does the system have to be one at some time during the night to run the 
daily crons?
