The AP's syslog parms must match the syslog.conf parms.

e.g., for a MikroTik AP,

[root@catch22 ~]# grep -i mikrotik /etc/syslog.conf
# MikroTik router messages
user.* /var/log/mikrotik.log
[root@catch22 ~]#
