I use:

linux pci=nomsi,nommconf hda=noprobe hdc=noprobe

for the DC7[78]00 machines when installing CentOS.

The last two are needed to get the right driver for
the SATA drives, else the disks are extremely slow.
They need to be added to grub.conf after installation
as well.
