You didn't spell it correctly.
It's an option for rpm, not yum.
Well, this is on another system, so I am looking at one screen and
typing on another. For us dyslexic people, typos are normal....
'rpm --noscripts -e' worked.
the rpm is gone. So too is the /etc/rc.d/init.hipfw
