Haven't tried it myself. Then again, you are referring to using AD Authentication in a web browser, but i would think their package would eliminate some of the steps, anyway.

I have built an rpm for my own use, by grabbing the source files from sambas' web interface to cvs.
It would be real neat to have it packaged and available through yum.
