If you want hasslefree administration for the one or two servers, you don't want to lose that on a desktop which you have to update at least once a year and where updates can give you headaches because something major changed. Giving out stable Desktops is one of the things where CentOS really shines. And: These Desktops are for research and work, not for having the latest and greatest software. Ralph
