in /etc/yum.conf there is 'distroverpkg=redhat-release' listed.

# rpm -qf /etc/redhat-release
centos-release-5-1.0.el5.centos.1

Everything seems to me ok so far. Maybe this is a problem with my squid
server? I will test this.
