Do not hijack threads (meaning "reply wildly in another thread") but
write your own "new" mail the next time. 

You might want to take a look at

http://wiki.linux-nfs.org/wiki/index.php/Enduser_doc_kerberos

to secure your nfs server - if you are running nfs4.
