Quoting Kai Schaetzl <maillists@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>:
1. nslookup is deprecated, use host
2. it interprets any hostname with a dot in it like an FQDN, e.g. it
transforms abc.def -> abc.def.
Host returns the same results.
So there is no way to do name completion on any partial name that has
a dot in it?
and then how would it know that it should complete some names but not
google.com, ... etc?
do not rely on completion. use complete names whenever you can.
otherwise, use '-' instead of a dot in your local hostnames.
