This might sound a lot crazy, but it is worth a try.
Try removing the module cd_rom and inserting that
module again. Do a lsmod to see if the order has
change and try using the usb cd_rom to burn a cd rom
and let us know if this works.
How do I do this? How do I remove a module then readd it?
