LDAP and Automount

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Alle,

I'm following the instructions in section 19.3.3.2 of the docs @ http://www.centos.org/docs/5/html/5.1/Deployment_Guide/s2-nfs-config-autofs-LDAP.html, but I cannot add the following entry in LDAP:

dn: automountMapName=auto.home,dc=subaru,dc=nao,dc=ac,dc=jp
objectClass: top
objectClass: automountMap
automountMapName: auto.home

After looking at the schemas in /etc/openldap/schema, I find that "automountMapName" does not exist:

[root@loa schema]# find . -exec grep auto {} \; -ls
attributetype ( 1.3.6.1.1.1.1.25 NAME 'automountInformation'
DESC 'Information used by the autofs automounter'
objectclass ( 1.3.6.1.1.1.1.13 NAME 'automount' SUP top STRUCTURAL
DESC 'An entry in an automounter map'
	MUST ( cn $ automountInformation )
objectclass ( 1.3.6.1.4.1.2312.4.2.2 NAME 'automountMap' SUP top STRUCTURAL
DESC 'An group of related automount objects'
4425955 4 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 748 Nov 10 04:30 ./redhat/autofs.schema
[root@loa schema]#

The docs say RFC2307bis is the most recently established schema, but as far as I can tell, it has expired. I've found several references on line about nisMapName vs automountMapName, but I'd like to stay with what's documented. Am I missing something? We're trying to setup a server to use for both Linux and SPARC client authentication.

Best Regards,
Camron
