I can certainly understand and appreciate that.  However, some Fedora packages
that I assumed would be "basic" don't seem to exist for Centos.  At least, I
haven't found them.

One example is the Gnumeric spreadsheet.  I installed the FC6 gnumeric rpm the
other day and it seems to work on Centos 5.
