Call me dense...

but did i read that correctly? you are running Beta 5
in production??

G'day, Dense.

I'm running RHEL5 beta1 in production.

I needed the latest HPIJ/OJ stuff, and it didn't run on CentOS 4. Therefore, I tried RHEL5 beta 1 and it works.

Security isn't a concern, it's well-protected behind a NATting firewall, and Mrs S is no risk.

What's the problem?

That is because you are a Debian guy. It is shocking to run Fedora, betas, alphas in production here. Please take your community maintained mindset away! ARGH!

What on earth are you talking about? Within ten metres of me I have
1 laptop running OS X
Two laptops running Fedora Core 5 (which I must upgrade soon)
One laptop running OpenSUSE 10.2 plus a SLED guest.
One Desktop running Ubuntu Warty
My desktop, running self-build Nahant, mostly.
One print server mentioned above.
One Pentium II firewall running Debian Sarge.
One test computer, currently running Kubuntu 6.10.
One test computer, currently running Debian Etch.
One server running WBEL 4.
Elsewhere. I own one computer running CentOS 4, and at work my desktop's running CentOS 4.

What's your qualification to judge me?
