Reboot Issues

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello Everyone,

I’ve got Centos 4.4 installed and fully updated on an ASUS M2NBP-VM CSM Motherboard.  When I issue a ‘shutdown –r now’ or an ‘init 6’ it goes through the shutdown sequence and then after the final message “rebooting system” it just sits there and has have it’s reset switch manually pressed.  When I issue a ‘shutdown –h now’ or a ‘halt –p’ it shuts down and powers down properly.

My bet is that it’s an ACPI issue but I’m not sure where to start troubleshooting it.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,

James
