A text based install is possible at 256 MB.
A GUI based install needs 512MB (but 1024MB is recommended by Upstream
OS Provider).
384MB is sufficient for graphical install of the CentOS 5 beta (4.92):
[root@fold ~]# uname -a

[root@fold ~]# cat /etc/redhat-release
CentOS release 4.92 (Beta)
[root@fold ~]# cat /proc/meminfo

This is my "crash and burn" test box so it only gets minimal usage other
than sequentially making sure the CentOS 5 applications work as expected.
