I have a remote console drac connection, yet for once we sent the hired guns
home for the weekend and I am a just a tad bit too far away at the moment to
travel to it.

well, if you can reboot, at grub, use `linux single`, and youll get a shell prompt from the CD. but I dunno if you'll be able to eject the CD at that point, as youll be running off th e mini OS on the CD, so it will be a open mouunted device/
