I installed CentOS 4.4 32 bit on a dual core AMD64 motherboad. Its a

Any ideas why or how to fix?

dunno why, but ntpd may be able to correct it.

 # yum install ntpd
# vi /etc/ntp.conf # chkconfig ntpd on
 # service ntpd start

all the conf file -needs- is a server line or two referencing some local-to-you NTP servers. check with your ISP to see if they have any if you're not already running your own.
