RPM will never "see" your packages if you install them via CPAN. It is
recommended you NOT install from CPAN if you would like to maintain the
integrity of your CentOS system. RPMforge and Karan's Extras repositories
already provide a lot of perl modules in RPM format. You can also use tools
such as cpan2rpm and cpanflute to create RPMs for modules that don't already
exist there.
