Base is the minimal install Recommended. It wants to install all those i386 packages as requires for Base ... I would recommend that for a server you put a: exclude=*.i386 *.i586 *.i686 in yum.conf and only install i386 packages if absolutely required by your server. (I would also see if I could remove other i386/i586/i686 packages.)
