Sure:

 yum groupinstall "X Window System"

and perhaps:

 yum groupinstall "GNOME Desktop Environment"
 yum groupinstall "KDE (K Desktop Environment)"

to taste.

hmmm. wonder how to fix that. just did a yum update prior to this, so python *should* be happy.
