Personally I would look at an AoE solution.  I have been using AoE for
about 6 months now and it is really a great solution.  Using it for
storage for email, webhosting and remote backup.

For like $6200 you have the hardware minus the drives with capabilities to
handle 15 750GB drives.  Then all you need to do is buy some SATA drives
to total the amount of space you need.  You could have more than 2TB for
$10000 that way.
