OK ... the problem here seems to be that you are trying to build
something that is not included in CentOS (ruby-gnome).

So, from what I understand, your goal is to get ruby-gnome to work ...
and you are basing the fact that ncurses is broken on the output of this
ruby-gnome build process.  Is this correct?

Is this where you got the source:
http://ruby-gnome2.sourceforge.jp/

I have no idea if it works, but ruby-gnome was replaced by ruby-gnome2.
