  Yes. According to this page:

  1440x900 works on Fedora 5. I've added "915resolution 5c 1440 900"
  to /etc/rc.local and added "1440x900" to SubSection "Display" in
  /etc/X11/xorg.conf. However, /var/log/Xorg.0.log says:

  (II) VESA(0): Not using mode "1440x900" (no mode of this name)
