I'll have to wait until tonight to run that.  Too disruptive during the
day.  I tried to run that the other day and got an immediate call from
the client that the system had "locked up".  It was actually just
extremely slow.  I thought that, as of 2.6, writes weren't suppose to
starve reads anymore.  But they definitely do with the current CentOS
kernel at least.
