Hey all,

Since moving a 4.3 x86-64 install from a single athlon64 to a new dual
core AMD cpu it would appear that cool'n quiet is having trouble as is
shown in the system logs;

powernow-k8: ignoring illegal change in lo freq table-2 to 0x2
powernow-k8: transition frequency failed

Any ideas ?

The consensus seems to be that powernow is broken at this juncture and a lot of folks are just turning it off. I disable it on all my systems and haven't had any issues as a result.

Cheers,
