I have got 8 Sun x4100's and i have got the following on there

x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
I have found an issue where every hour the load rises to 1 sits there
for nearly an hour and then drops to 0 again (these boxes are not
currently being used)
Has anyone seen this before or know perhaps why this may happen? When
the load is high there is nothing showing in a top that may suggest a
reason.
