Re: [CentOS] providing drivers at boot time for SATA

I have a similar problem with a Centos 4.3 install on a pair of raided SATA disks.

The motherboard failed (ati chipset) so I replaced it with a VIA 8251 based board and it fails to find any hard disks after the grub boot screen...

Apparantly the PCI'ids changed for the SATA and the drivers are not loaded or found at install time.

What can I do to provide them? I am using CentOS 4.3.

Will those new changes to 4.4 handle this?

Thanks

Jerry
