Actually, there are 2 places I always start when searching for information
on kernel issues:

1) http://www.kernelnewbies.org/
2) The Linux Kernel Mailinglist Archives

The name of the first option is a bit misleading. One would expect
only to find very basic information there. Actually, it is a
training ground for kernel hackers, so there is plenty of juicy info
there.
