I found this ambiguous because I was not sure at this point to what "the
dag or dries" referred.

  rpmforge
  Download and install the rpmforge-release package. You can find
  download links here
  http://rpmforge.net/user/packages/rpmforge-release/ . You can use the
  dag or dries, they both contain the same files, or just download one
  of these: 

  Select the correct package depending on your arch. If you are unsure
  uname -i? 

      * i386 http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el4/en/i386/RPMS.dag/rpmforge-
        release-0.2-2.2.el4.rf.i386.rpm 
        
      * x86_64 http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el4/en/x86_64/RPMS.dag/rpmforge-
        release-0.2-2.2.el4.rf.x86_64.rpm
