In your kickstart file you can then include a line like device scsi ata_piix Helps to prevent overwriting shared storage an the like when trying to partition disks. It correctly sets up the modprobe.conf and initrd for you that way, too. You could probably also do this by hand, since I believe anaconda asks if you would like to load drivers when it can't find hard disks.
