Upgrading samba past the regular packages

I've never used packages from here, but you might check out

i  have used RPM's from the site and did not have a problem with the  packages, matter of fact it solved a major problem i was having with  3.0.10 releases of samba. the version i downloaded from the site worked  right out of the box, i can not say that about 3.0.10.
