Using fedora's kernel on centos

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

The latest fedora kernel already has the CONNMARK support. I'd like
to use it in my centos 4.2 server.

I know it is not as stable as the 2.6.9.x the comes with centos but it
is an alternative to using the vanilla kernel.

I've managed to rebuild the rpm of the FC4 kernel in my Centos server
but when trying to install I get

Failed dependencies:
        mkinitrd >= 4.2.15-1 is needed by kernel-2.6.14-1.1656_FC4.root.i686
        selinux-policy-targeted < 1.23.16-1 conflicts with
kernel-2.6.14-1.1656_FC4.root.i686

Any suggestions?
