Booting off and installing from USB cdrom drive

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi all,

I am trying to install CentOS from an external USB cdrom drive but am
experiencing that anaconda does not recognize the device as cdrom device.

Anyone have any experience with this and how to get it working ?

After loading the appropriate usb-storage drivers the device is recognized and
registered as /dev/sr0, but apparently that device is not checked or
considered a cdrom device.

Thanks,

Taco
