install won't boot

Nope.  I couldn't even log in, because I couldn't even get CentOS to get 
past that error.

When I run Knoppix I made these changes:

reinstalled all of /boot from a working system on the same 
hardware/software.

rewrote fstab to bypas software RAID (since changed back).
