Why not simply download the latest and greatest version LibreOffice from their we site I've been doing that for several years on both Centos 7 and now Rocky 8 and it has worked without fail.

  Does anyone happen to know what the latest native version for CentOS
7 is?

That seems to be version 3.10.0, or? As I wrote, I am running 5.3.6.1...
