grub2-mkconfig with custom kernel

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi - I am running CentOS 7
I tried to add a custom initrd and custom vmlinux

when I run grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
the custom files are not listed .
when I reboot my entry for /etc/grub.d/40_custom is not listed either.

How do I get grub2-mkconfig to recognize my entries ?
Is grub2-mkconfig only looking at installed kernels - How do I get it to
see mine?

Thanks

Jerry
