As a sysadmin, what I like about CentOS is that it's probably the most *boring* Linux distribution out there. Boring is good. No drama, no surprises. I know I can have yum-cron run once a day without Icinga suddenly sending me a tsunami of failure alerts and without clients calling me and yelling on the phone.
