As far as I know Xming is a Windows software.

If you are using a SSH tunnel, you would need to run putty first.

In any case, you need to enable on putty X11 connections (Connection ->
SSH -> X11 -> Enable X11 forwarding ) if you are running any software on
your linux machine.
