Run 'udevadm monitor' with sudo or as root and watch for what /dev entry
the phone picks up when it is plugged in. Use that one in your ip or dhcpd
commands.

Plug in the phone, wait a minute then issue
# ls -ltr /dev
and the last named one should be the phone.
