workaround using CentOS Plus Kernel? -- for 7.4 does not support PV [Xen]

I'm considering switching to the **CentOS Plus Kernel**.  What are the downsides?
In the link above,  will the CentOS Plus Kernel get upgraded or will it be locked
at a specific kernel?
