I would try a new install to verify the issue .. this sounds like a mate
specific issue.

You can try 'yum downgrade libgpod' as the first step rather than
removing libmobile.  But this sounds like a problem with the end result
as a reinstall of the above packages should be the same.

I am not using Mate on 7.4.1708
