# ls /etc/cups/ppd/
Officejet_Pro_8600.ppd

This is a network-attached printer. All other desktop clients
(Slackware) have CUPS + HPLIP running and can print and scan. Only the
CentOS client refuses to work as expected.

Hmmm.
