My workaround.

On the Dell E6500

installed CentOS 7.0 from DVD ( development workstation )
           wifi works

        updated to CentOS 7.1 ( 7.1503 ) using vault.centos.org
           wifi works

updated to CentOS 7.2 ( 7.1511 ) using local repo
           wifi works

So I ended up with a working 7.2.

Hope this helps someone.

Tony.
