It's not what _I_ need; it's the burden on part of the redistributor, to satisfy the GPL requirements: http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.en.html#UnchangedJustBinary I downloaded just the binary from the net. If I distribute copies, do I have to get the source and distribute that too? (#UnchangedJustBinary) Yes. The general rule is, if you distribute binaries, you must distribute the complete corresponding source code too. The exception for the case where you received a written offer for source code is quite limited. > > jh > _______________________________________________ > CentOS mailing list > CentOS@xxxxxxxxxx > https://lists.centos.org/mailman/listinfo/centos -- Brian Reichert <reichert@xxxxxxxxxxx> BSD admin/developer at large _______________________________________________ CentOS mailing list CentOS@xxxxxxxxxx https://lists.centos.org/mailman/listinfo/centos
