Anyone know why this wouldn't be valid mbox format?

Thanks to both of you guys. That's exactly what was going on. You learn 
something everyday. Now I know what makes mbox mbox, I guess. A set number 
of characters on that line in the date portion. Now I know what I need to 
do, hopefully, to get those files of my wife's working. Thanks.
