John is correct. You will have to untangle this first. Bringing the two environments into alignment is the first step. You may find that once this is done there is nothing more to do. Others may see it differently but personally I would install packages only from CentOS and the rest from CPAN. In your case, you may feel more comfortable duplicating the new perl environment exactly the way you created the old machine's environment. Good luck!
