By now the locate database will have been rebuilt. Try: [mlapier@mushroom yum.repos.d]$ locate epel.repo /etc/yum.repos.d/epel.repo If that fails to find your wayward file then you can be sure that EPEL repo did not install. If you do manage to find the epel.repo file just move it to the /etc/yum.repos.d/ directory.
