Start scripts ordering

What I'm wondering though, is why does the order matter? Iptables is
started before networking on purpose - to protect against the race between
network interface startup and firewall initiation.

What exactly happens that it doesn't work with iptables at 08? Do you have
a different script than S08iptables start/stop which modifies the
firewall?

Cheers,
MaZe.
