Yeah, the Fedora pages do sort of take you on a small runaround for a
simple thing.  Just do

wget http://epel.mirror.constant.com/6/i386/epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm

Once it's downloaded, run rpm ivh epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm.

Then, you can use the EPEL repos.
